Mercury History
Mercury was an American automobile brand launched by Ford Motor Company in 1939. Mercury was placed at a price point between the less expensive Ford and the more luxurious Lincoln.
The last vehicles was produced in 2010 and the Mercury division were closed down in 2011.
Throughout the brands history many of the vehicles have been slightly upgraded and changed Ford models, especially during Mercury's last years; i.e. Crown Victoria became Grand Marquis, Escape became Marineer, Explorer became Mountaineer and Taurus became Sable.
